If you're envious that your neighbor has a donkey and you don't. then you shouldn't covet your neighbors goods. If your envious of something the donkey has ( I could only guess), maybe something in the laws of Moses, if you're old covenant.

This is the 10th command is you are Catholic or Lutheran.

If you are protestant, than the 9th and 10th are lumped together as merely
Thou shalt not covet.
