well, first MEET him, then you'll figure out what would be the best thing for the both of you.
sorry for being skeptical, but I have a friend who has talked to people on-line and somehow or another, the meeting has never taken place. something always seems to come up with the guys that she agrees to meet.
if either one of you are able to relocate, that would probably be the best thing
good luck and God Bless
P.S. Make sure you let a very close friend or relative know that you are meeting someone out of state/ country. This way, they have contact information JUST IN CASE something happens. again, good luck

If you are going to meet this individual for the first time in person, make sure you have another friend with you at the time of the meeting. You don't know if this person will turn out to be very violent or not, since you met him on your computer online.
Just be cautious and keep the meeting safe, Laurie

think about the following:
are you the only person he talks to?
is his profile on multiple websites?
does he have a girlfriend, wife or boyfriend?
I dated someone who had multiple online profiles, when he moved away to another state, I discovered he had been dating someone online for months. I found his profile in multiple websites and discovered he had multiple women he was seeing.
so be careful, not all men are the same, but if the one you are talking about has the initials JG RUN.

That depends on the both of you. Many people have met online and had a long distance relationship, until they were able to organize things enough to actually get together. The same things apply to any relationship long distance or not, those are communication, commitment and a willingness to be patient and understanding with eachothers needs.
Good luck to you !!

At first. (According to Dr. Phil). And if you continue to date for some time, sooner or later someone is going to have to move closer to proceed with the norm of dating. That's the hard part - figuring out which is willing to pull up roots.

Definitely meet at a public place, and be careful. Let someone know where you'll be. Wouldn't hurt to put some pepper spray in your pocket. It's pretty cheap to look up someone's background, you could at least be sure they aren't married or worse.

it might work for a little while anyway.
just thought id bring up a recent news item about a guy in oklahoma who was talking to a girl online for like four years and the whole time she never knew there was anything wrong with him until she said she didnt want him to come visit her and he freaked out and killed a little girl and tried to eat her. just happened this year. be careful out there.

My daughter met a Canadian on line while living in Texas. They have been married now for over a year.
If the connection is good, it will go far.
