When a person was anointed with oil, the oil was put on his head and allowed to run down on his beard and onto the collar of his garments. (Ps. 133:2) During the times of Biblical history both the Hebrews and some of the non-Hebrews ceremonially anointed rulers. This constituted the confirmation of their official appointment to office. (Judg. 9:8, 15; 1 Sam. 9:16; 2 Sam. 19:10) Samuel anointed Saul as king after God had designated Saul as his choice. (1 Sam. 10:1) David was anointed as king on three different occasions: once by Samuel, later by the men of Judah and finally by all the tribes. (1 Sam. 16:13; 2 Sam. 2:4; 5:3) Aaron was anointed after his appointment to the office of high priest. (Lev. 8:12) Afterward, Aaron and his sons had some of the anointing oil along with the blood of the sacrifices spattered upon their garments, but Aaron was the only one who had the oil poured over his head. (Lev. 8:30).
Things dedicated as sacred were also anointed. Jacob took the stone on which he rested his head when he had an inspired dream, set it up as a pillar and anointed it, thus marking that place as sacred, and he called the place Bethel, meaning "house of God." (Gen. 28:18, 19) A short time later Jehovah acknowledged this stone as having been anointed. (Gen. 31:13) In the wilderness of Sinai, Moses anointed, at Jehovah's command, the Tabernacle and its furnishings, indicating that they were dedicated holy things. (Ex. 30:26-28)
There are times when a person was regarded as being anointed without any oil being poured upon them because of being appointed by GOD. This principle was demonstrated when God told Elijah to anoint Hazael as King over Syria, Jehu as King over Israel and Elisha as prophet in place of himself. (1 King 19:15, 16) But there is no record of anyone anointing with oil either Hazael or Elisha.Moses was called a Christ or Anointed One, although not anointed with oil, because Moses was appointed and the leader and deliverer of Israel. (Heb. 11:24-26)
In the law God gave to Moses he prescribed a formula for the anointing oil. It was a special composition of the choicest ingredients, myrrh, sweet cinnamon, sweet calamus, cassia and oilive oil. (Ex. 30:22-25). It was a captial offense for anyone to compound this mixture and to use it for any common or unatuhorized purpose. (Ex. 30:31-33). This figuratively demonstrated the importance and sacredness of an appointment to office that had been confirmed by annointing with sacred oil.

Holy water isn't in the bible! anointing oils are used to help heal the sick and to clean the body! look at Amos 6:6, James 5:14 and Matthew 6:17. those should help! You don't have to buy from a certain person! You can get regular olive oil and take it to your pastor or priest and have them bless it you can use it in your home with your family!

Anointing oil and holy water is not inscribed in the Bible. That stuff doesn't work, hate to break it to you. It's usually sold just to make stupid feel better about themselves. It is a waste of money and it doesn't get you salvation in Heaven. That oil and water is expensive,
it doesn't work, and it definetly does not help whatsoever. Reading the Bible is good though.

Anyone can bless water, salt, oil, candles, incense, crosses, crucifixes, or any other Christian Artifacts. The purpose of blessing water to have holy water is that when you sprinkle it you are sending out prayers everywhere the holy water touches and then that item becomes blessed. I do recommend having a Priest or Deacon bless these items. I personally use Holy Water to bless my house once a year along with blessing my windows and main entrance doors of my house with oil by making a small sign of the cross.

I've read the bible many times. I dint recall anything about holy water but baptism. I do know where you can find anointing oil for healing.James chap .5v.14+15 God bless you feel free to contact me for anymore questions.
Also read EZEKIEL chap. 36 v.24-30 This talks about sprinkling of water but I believe it is talking about This time also. Read the verses and see if you think it refers to America yes I said America it's all in the Bible if you read it with your eyes open. Also read Rev. chap 22 v1-2. I believe this is the water of the truth of the holy spirit that leads us to the truth in these last times.
God bless you. please write back if you want.

James 5:14
"Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord."
I have no idea re: the holy water.

This is an excellent search engine for those terms. Holy water is not a Biblical concept however. It emerged after Bible times, primarily from the baptismal waters.

There is no 'how to' in the Bible for annointing with oil or sprinkling w/Holy water... most of these traditions are established by denominations and churches, and the method and who is allowed to do it, varys widely.
