The Bible tells us of a story where Jesus shares a small amount of fish and bread with thousands of people. The reason why the world is filled with sin is because people don't share.

1.) Self interest. We have limited resources, and giving someone else some of mine reduces the amount that I can enjoy. People in the wealthy parts of the world have grown used to their lifestyles and would not share with others, thereby taking the *long* step down to 'average.' Giving up TVs, air conditioners, cars...not going to happen.

2.) If we took that advice too far, and shared everything equally, everyone's quality of life would actually decrease because there would be no incentive for innovation. Nobody would invent or create anything because the benefits would not outweigh the costs. We would stagnate in a world that got more and more crowded without getting more advanced technologically. Radical equality is not as good as it sounds.

Thank you. I am about to go cook dinner and this will help me think.
Actually, the world is filled with sin because of the individuals in the world. We have to remember to keep sin w/in rather than attribute it "out there". Responsibility and repentence is impossible that way.
People do share - you have in this e and there are marvelous ways to share everyday. Pass on a compliment to a clerk's supervisor. Share $3 and feed a child. Recycle for tomorrow's child.
Your caring is so beautiful. Go let the sensitivity change the world for us - 1 person at a time.

The world is filled with sin because Christians continued to promulgate the concepts of good and evil as absolutes rather than as relative to each situation. So that, for example, sharing with people outside your tribe becomes a sin if you didn't get the elders' permission first, and so on and so on.

Most people operate from a mentality of Scarcity. Thinking this way causes you to believe that if you do not get all you can as fast as you can for yourself, there will not be enough......
If more people operated from a mentality of Abundance, they would realize that there is plenty for everyone. Most of our conflicts occur over resources, Oil, Water, land, food. Yet much of the world, us in the US included, live in excess. Large corporations want to keep you thinking that resources are scarce so that they can charge you more money for them.
What it really comes down to is good old fashioned GREED, and the almighty BUCK......

The reason the world is filled with sin, my friend, is Adam sinned and it was passed onto all of us...
All have been born into sin..

and the other reason sin is still here today is because not everyone has repented of sin as the gospels tell us to do.

For the world to be able to share everything it must first rid itself of ignorace and intolerance. Little by little as time passes this is happening. The Civil Rights movments in the US, England allowing women to vote, ect. I strongly beleive these steps in the right direction, although painfully slow, will help us reach world peace, even if it is not something we see in our lifetimes.

I agree with that. People should share and help the ones that are less fortunate.
There are also the people who doesnt want to do anything to help themselves either. They are there to take only.
I like helping others as long as they at least try to help themselves.

Because we all worship money.
Sharing doesn't make money.
Please stop sharing bible stories. The world needs less of people sharing their religions.
