Polygamy (more than one mate) was not God's original arrangement, but it was tolerated until the time of the Christian congregation. Polygamy started not long after Adam's downfall. Concubinage and polygamy no doubt enabled the Israelites to increase at a much faster rate, and therefore, while God did not establish these arrangements but only allowed and regulated them, they served some purpose at the time. After Jesus came to earth, the original marriage arrangement of having one mate was restored and continues today. God does hate divorce and gave laws regarding both marriage and divorce. (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Cor. 7:39, 1Peter 3:1-7, Colossians 3:18, Luke 16:18, Mark 10:12)

Saul or Solomon, one of the two had 700 wives and 300 cocumbines.
God allowing it doesn't mean he approved and he instilled in the Christian system only one wife for one man. A better way.

First of all can you prove either one had a divorce. Second I don't see where either one asked permission to have a wife. Study your Bible it would say nothing about having more than one wife. If you can tolorate more than one then God Bless you!!!! Praise Jesus!!!!!

it does say they had many wifes, but you wont find in any place of the bible that God approved it or say that it was ok with Him. :)
