I lost 30 lbs in a few months. I limited my weight loss to 1 to 2 lbs per week. I could easily have lost it faster, but that is unhealthy. I have kept it off for 2 1/2 years. I am a 59 year old guy.
When I decided I needed to lose weight, I read a lot about various diets. Then I stumbled on the Calorie Restriction (CR) diet. It had a massive amount of science behind it - over 600 papers in peer reviewed journals in the last decade. Many again this year in publications like the Journal of the American Medical Association.
I was completely sold on the diet and still am. I intend to follow it the rest of my life. It has only two rules:
1. Make sure you get 100% of known nutrition;
2. Cut your calories intake a lot, 20% to 30%.
Other than that, you can eat anything you want. I personally add a couple of other rules:
3. I try to get all my nutrition from food, not from supplements. The problem with any supplement is that it is based on what we now know about nutrition, and does nothing about all we have yet to learn. Food will provide nutrition we know nothing about.
4. Avoid artificial sweeteners of all types.
But others on this diet believe just the opposite about those 2 added rules.
The reason government, universities, and start up companies are pouring millions into learning how this diet works is not because of weight loss. That is a side effect. The reason is this: Species after species that have been put on this diet show two results:
1. They are much healthier - significantly less cancer, less cardiovascular disease, less diabetic diseases, less neurosdegenerative disease, etc. with the result their average life span was greater
2. Above and beyond their average life span increasing, their maximum lifespan increased. In mice the oldest lived 30% and more beyond the oldest mice not on the diet.
It is not known if maximum human lifespan will increase under this diet, but the heath effects kick in within weeks. People on CR quickly see all sorts of results: cholesterol, HDL, LDL, blood pressure, C Reactive protein (an effect of your body fighting inflammation) all improve. It happened to me when I did it, too.
The hard work of this diet is keeping track of your calories and nutrients. You have to do that to be sure you are on the diet. I do it by carrying around a piece of paper and jotting down what I eat soon after I eat it. Every day or so I take the papers and enter them on an Excel spreadsheet I have that computes my nutrients. You can get software, some free (see below), to make this a lot easier. Once you have this in place, figure on 15 minutes a day to keep track. I personally believe you have to have a computer to do this.
The tracking can be a pain. But is also provides wonderful motivation.
I can completely break the diet one day. Really pig out. I see my average calories go up for the week, so the next couple of days I just cut back until I am where I want. It is nice immediate, positive feedback.
Or I see I am not getting enough of some nutrient. I just switch to eating other food that is high in the nutrient. My daily average gets up to 100% and I feel great about having done it.
The weight really does take care of itself. It becomes a non-issue. You get a complete sense of control. I raise my weight or lower my weight at will.

You need aerobics at least 3 times a weeks, for a minimum of 20 minutes a day. This can be anything from walking around the block at a brisk pace, to walking on a treadmeal. Start slowly and increase your pace every week. After 3 weeks, add weight training with 1-3 pound weights. Reduce your salt intake by 10%-15%, and drink as much water as humanly possible EVERY day.
5-6 small balanced meals throughout the day will help with cravings, and 1 dessert to treat yourself for all this hard work.

oK.. first...... drink lots of water............
cardio workouts.. 1 hour a day
drink green tea as much as u want.. it helps burn fat.. but dont put sugar.....
grape fruit helps burn fat too.. half grape fruit b4 every meal
do not eat anythinggggggggggg after 6pm... its ahrd but its worth it if u wanna lose so much weight by x-mas........
eat breakfast.. it kicks ur metabolism...... maybe an apple or so.. dont eat that much......
lunch.. very lean protien........ but extremely low carbs.. trust me u can lose up to 50pounds doing this.. most important is excersice........ good luck
