I live in apartments and about 4 or 5 neighbors ( I don't know them) like to feed the squirels out by our wooded area.

Problem is everyday they do this and everyday my cat comes home with dinner. I've tried to tell the manager, but she did nothing. My cat literally sits and catches the critters one by one, I'm suprised there are any left.

Should I just make a sign? or is there any other way to stop this?

the cat found me, he was a furrel cat that cannot be kept indoors. I learned my lesson after I had him neutured. I know he's trying to provide for me by bringing me dinner, but a bell might do the trick!

A sign is a good idea. You may also want to put a bell on your cats collar so the squirells will hear it coming.

What a good cat! Give her some extra love from me.

We took down the bird feeder. We used to call it the cat feeder because it would attract birds and the cat would eat them.

Cats do not differentiate between mice, squirrels, birds etc. Hunting is what they do.

You may want to put up a sign that says something like Beware of Cat but I think you may be looking for trouble. Probably the squirrel feeders do not even realize your cat is eating squirrels and they would get mad at you if they found out.

BTW squirrels can carry rabies. They can also get into your attic and eat your wiring. Better cats than squirrels, at least all they do is shred the couch.

My cat used to stack them up at the backdoor because I have a bunch of walnut and pecan trees in my yard that attract lots of squirrels.

I'd look out and sometimes 4 would be laying there twitching... :(

I stopped letting her out during the daytime because at night she didnt seem to do it.

Make a sign and tell them if you see them. They would feel terrible since they're going out of their way to feed the rodents, I mean squirrels.

I would talk to neighbors in question. If they realize that when they feed the woodland creatures they're also setting them up as willing sacrifices, they might reconsider their actions.

Keep your cat indoors, like you're supposed to, and there will be no problem... Teach him to use a litter box, and buy him some toys...

I suggest that you keep your cat indoors. Cats live longer, are healthier, and adjust well to living inside. There, they will be safe from rabies, cars, feline leukemia, and other unpleasantries. Be a responsible pet owner, Please!
