There is no way to make a guy like you. Furthermore, if you mess with him while he is with someone, I can guarantee that karma will bite you in the butt and he will eventually dump you for someone else.

You cannot MAKE a person like you and you should leave him alone since he has a girlfriend.
You think you can do something to make a person like you; you are considering breaking-up (or helping it fall apart) a long-term relationship; you listen to and believe gossip; and you want a boy to like you who is giving you the idea he likes you while he has a girlfriend........think about all that
I'm worried for you because it sounds as if you need to do some growing inside before you can have a good relationship with someone else.

Nothing is as attractive as intelligence, so do take a bit more time with your spelling, etc.
The minute someone thinks you're uninterested, or unattainable your likability factor goes through the roof.
Don't seem so bloody available, and do take a bit more pride in your public persona.

sorry but no matter how hard you try, you cann't make someone like you. Just be yourself. If you aren't good enough on your own right, then you should not be in that relationship. It is so hard to keep trying to make someone like you. Find someone who likes you for you, this will work out better in the long run
