i dont think any soild plans dont involve the meetings.. and treatment facilty you go to will outpateint you to these. There was MM moderation management, but the woman who started it killed people in an drunken auto accdient so im skeptical.
A lifetime drunk who didnt drink at all for a year, i simply lost intrest in it, and started to drink other things, like tea in teh evenings when i normally would have booze. i didnt hang out with any drinkers and that helped ALOT.

The second i did, i had a beer and started to drink again, although im pretty moderate and not problem right now.
I think you need to find a replacement for your normal drinking routine. My thing was to come home and drink. So i came home, had tea and any guests i had over were non drinkers. It worked for me.
Some people drink non alcholic beer as a middle step.

you may think i'm kidding but i'm not. i learned about this plan a few years ago and it really works. it's called the one step plan.:
Don't Drink.
period
simple, and it works great for me (who was a daily heavy drinker) and my husband (who was a binge drinker)
*hugs* and good luck!
