I also need to say that I would have no clue as to how to install the system unless I was told how. The current radio is a dial unit that does not even turn on when the truck is running. I would need to know how to remove it properly, and how to install the head unit, amp and sub.

A good unit is one that is just loud enough for you and not loud enough that the rest of the freaking world has to hear it.

If you DO decide to go big and loud, at least play something other than hip hop to prove you aren't just another wanker showing off how loud the bass is on your car stereo.

Crutchfield is an excellent online company. If you do not feel qualifiad to do the installation yourself most of the big stores (Best Buy, Circuit City) will give you free installation if you buy certain stereos from them.
