Well minimum MP for still pictures should be 2. Lots of sites are there like those of best buy, frys etc which you could check to evaluate the features and the associated prices for handycams

first for 1MP still picture is crap u dont wanna care a bout that.

my suggest get canon or sony camcorder would be the best.
