Revelations is very hard to understnd.. people interpret it differnet ways some people believe that everyone will go to paradise until the Lord comes again, and then on that Judgment Day, people will go to Hell or Heaven.. other people believe that when you die u will have your own "judgement day" and will eother go to heaven or hell. The lake of fire, or the abyss, are commonly interpreted as Hell. The point is we don't know for sure what will hapeen, and we won't know until we go through it. Just love God and you won't have to worry!

I think you asked a very valid question, and I want to give close attention to each part and try to answer as thoroughly as possible. First off, I am a devout Christian. I have been a Christian since I was born, and I am now 24. I hope that can establish some credibility.

If you die without accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you will go to hell. This is why people are always trying to "save" others from having this ultimately happen when Christ is not in your life.

Judgement Day is for those who have not died and are still left on this earth. It will be the day that all non-Christians will become accountable for everything they have done. You bet a lot of people are going to come crying for Jesus when this day comes.

Hell is not a holding place for the wicked. It is an eternal Lake of Fire meant strictly for unsaved souls once they pass away. Let me reiterate again that it is eternal. Picture burning your finger on the stove. Now picture that feeling on your entire body...forever. That is what is meant by the Lake of Fire. On Judgement Day, those who are unsaved will be cast there for God to judge.

Hell is Shaole (death, or the grave), Hades and the Lake of Fire

Shaole (the grave) is where you go immediately body
HADES is a prison for evil spirits.
Near HADES (until Christ moved it) is Paradise, for the good spirits.

All will be resurrected, not just the believers. The believers are resurrected a little earlier. All get a new body, not just the believers. All will stand at Judgement. Believers names are in the Lamb's book of life, so although they are found guilty, they are pardoned. Those whose names are not in the Lamb's Book of Life are also found guilty but are not pardoned.

Revelation 20:14
Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.

Let's think about this....Does a truly loving merciful God send the souls of people into endless merciless torture due to a short lifetime of sins? Does'nt make sense does it. I don't think I can do something like that to my worst enemy.
As for the biblical interpretation of death, those that die will await the resurrection to be given a second chance. Most likely here on Earth. This will last a 1000 years. Those that mess up will be destroyed forever. In other words...you will cease to exist.
Now there's the example of Lazarus who was dead for a few days until Jesus resurrected him. Lazarus never once mentioned going to heaven or hell. Seems he was more like in a deep dreamless state with no awareness of time.

There are plenty of web sites of bible studies that can properly answer your questions.
A question such as this one you just asked shouldn't be asked here; there are far too many ignorant responses and people trying to be cute and funny.. I will try to answer your question to the best of my ability but i have been apart from God for some time and tonight i will go to a bible study and rekindle my relationship with God... I have noticed that living my life apart from God spiritually has brought me nothing but emptiness and chaos.

The lake of fire is hell "read the bible"
EVERYONE when they die they stay in a "hold" waiting to be judged... there your life will pass before you and depending on your heart, faith-in-God, and your way of living (ten commandments) God will then deturmen whether you are worthy and true enough to join him in heaven, If not he will send Angles that will escort you to Hell A.K.A "Lake of Fire"

*** There is this one detail hell has many "layers" for those that "heard" of God and his Salvation but never beleived there is a part of Hell that they will be send to but for those beleivers that chose to not follow in God's steps or live by his rules... WILL be cast to the deepest most painful part of Hell

I dont believe that ofcourse im not religous either, I guess it depends on a persons religion and what they believe on that subject. As for what i think there may be a better place we go after we pass away but im uncertain? I believe there is something of a higher power then us not saying its the "god" a lot of people believe in there are to many questions to be answered on that. As for "hell" im not so sure there is a "hell"? another thing that has to many questions to be answered. The only way we will ever know the truth on what happens in the after life is when we pass away.

If you die without Christ in your heart, you go straight to hell. Judgement day is to let those who aren't called to heaven a second chance to come to the Lord and make things right. It signals the last seven years of the earth as we know before all condemnation happens.

No hell, no judgement - these are all ego projections onto god. Read the prodigal son parable and pay attention to the 'good' son -- much of jesus' message has been changed but his parables are somewhat intact. The 'good' son represents the dynamic where we humans make god into what we think/want him to be. Jesus knew that and it's why he tried to use parables (because parables are somewhat resistant to the inevitable action of people changing the message). God is Unconditional Love. When you have an experience of that, you will NEVER take the negative stuff about god as reality.

Yes. hell is the common grave of mankind. Judgement day is Gods day to destroy all the wicked and the lake of fire is final destruction and death with no way back.
