It depends where you're going from. I've just booked a Friday to Mondat trip to Florence (Pisa) in early November from Doncaster Sheffield with Ryanair and it only cost 1p for the flights plus taxes. We've paid £50 return for 2 people (£25 each) for the whole thing! Also, try Best Western and Booking.com for hotels. Altogether, we've paid about £150 for flights and hotel for 3 nights!

Never mind a cheap holiday, How about a free one.
Simply get in touch with a company that sells villas and apartments, tell them you have £500,000 to spend and wish to view some properties. Choose a reputable company and they will fly you out there, collect you from the airport and accomodate you and your partner. All you need to do, is view one property a day, when you have seen it, pretend to be in love with it, and say you and your partner must go away and talk about it. They'll leave you with the rest of the day to do what ever you wish.
The following day, just say you would prefer somewhere smaller/larger/closer to the beach etc etc, and do the whole thing again.
It works, as I have done it a few times myself.
