They Isrealites had no time to but the yeast in their bread when they fled from Egypt, so God told them not to put yeast in thier bread probably as a symbol of this historical event during the first passover.

a little leven fermets the whole loaf. Used it to show how sin corrupts all those around it. So during the passover day only told them not to use it. Probably symbolic.

I did not think he did. I thought that Mosses was in a big rush to get out of Egypt and he hurried the Israelites out quickly and they simply had to pack their stuff and go.....no time to add it then.....
