Yes they can... In fact if she skips over the sugar pills portion (the small circle in the middle of each pack) and starts taking another pack right away instead, she would miss her period entirely. When you stop taking them is when you get your period. At least this is what I think. Personally I havent been on birth control since I was 16. Im allergic to most types- they make me VERY sick.

well if shes already late the morning after pill will have no effect. The only way the morning after pill even has a chance of working is if you take it with in 24-72 hours of your oops....Birth control isn't 100% effective, if she doesn't take it at the same time every day or forgets ti take it your chances of becoming pregnant are greater. I know that's how my son was conceived. If you are really that worried about it I would have her take a test and see. No use worrying about anything until you know for sure. Hope everything turns out okay for you GOOD LUCK.....

The pill works 99% of the time. The morning after pill is just for the morning after, throwing off a period cycle, not sure but if you keep on taking the pill without stopping to get your periods you can postpone your periods

Birth Control is not 100%. I got pregnant on it when I was 16.
The morning after pill is also not 100%. It is most effective if taken within 24-36 hours after sexual intercourse. After that you risk having a baby with birth defects. Yes, it can throw of her cycle. It is a large dose of hormones.
Your friend needs to take a test to determine pregnancy. I was a teen mom and I graduated from high school. It can be done, so if she is pregnant, it is NOT the end of the world. It will be difficult, but it can be done.

I've been on the pill since I was 18 (I'm 32 now), and it has not failed me. I've never had to resort to the "morning after" pill, don't know anything about them. And I've had regular periods the whole time, no problem. 2 weeks late is a warning sign if it's never happened before, if I were her I'd get a pregnancy test.

Go buy a pregnancy test and have her take it tomorrow morning. The morning after pill does work in most cases but it's not 100 % so there is always a chance that she could be pregnant. Good Luck.

The morning after pills works ONLY the very next morning after - or within 24 hours of intercourse. She's late? Could be stress, could be a baby. Why is she going to a man for answers? Tell her to go see her doctor or get a pregnancy test at the drugstore.

I have found that the morning after pill works. I know plenty of people, including myself, have used it. It did throw off my period though. The best thing to do is wait a couple of days and take a test to make sure, but she should be ok.

If she took her bc regularly she should be fine. I miss a couple days here and there and I have unprotected sex alot and I have never gotten pregnant. I have taken Plan B or ' the morning after pill' but I wasnt sure if I was pregnant to begin with so its a 50 50 shot. Good luck

if she is pregnant it shouldnt affect her going to school it didnt affect me from going to school if she is determined she will be ok. i never took the after pill i would not advise that but if she does not want the child put it up for adoption if she really cant handle the responsiblity. Make an appointment for they gyno so you can make sure if she is really pregnant or not. then you too need to talk about what you guys are gonna do if she is pregnant best wishes to you all but having a child does not ruin plans least it didnt for me ne way well good luck to you guys.
