I am looking for the best place to buy one. Also, if anyone has tried to trail ride, like in the mountains.

Riding unicycles is really not very difficult and I am beginning to hear about people riding them in rough mountain terrain. I could ride my unicycle up and down stairs and I could take it many places that I found it difficult for bicycles to manage. I would love to be able to help people who are interested learn to ride quickly like I did. I am also trying to find those who have already been riding and would like to share some info with me about the mountain cycling.

I started a year ago, took me a week of trying now I ride 6-8 miles in a ride. Its a great feeling light flying I have a pilots ticket but this is more fun. Unicycle.com is a good place so is unicyclist.com.

You should visit this site:

http://www.unicycle.com/Welcome.asp

I've met the family involved in that business and have ridden wheels (in a bicycle) by their wheelbuilder. They're all good folks.

I still haven't learned how to ride one, but I came pretty close a while back with a borrowed unicycle. One day I'll learn for sure!

I have been riding a bicycle without the training wheel since I was in grade school (what can I say I grew up without television ,you should see my yoyo skills) ..anyway check out unicyclist.com..its a good place for lots of contacts and information..good luck and try finding a good long hallway you can touch both of the walls at once in to start.

While I've never done it I do see that they're very popular among circus clowns.
