ahhh, yes, this how I believe it is best to live your life, unrest is caused from doing the opposite, worrying about things which we have little to no influence over.
we must accept what is and assume that it is best, it generally is.

For me Debra, it depends on the 'thing'. Some things even if I decide it is beyond my control it does not always give me peace because even though you come to terms with it doesn't always take emotionality out of an issue and perhaps peace only comes when you can do that.

Oh, yes I know exactly what you mean........I used to think I could change people and control things in my life, but you know what........I finally came to the realization that no I cant.........It wasnt until I gave those things which stressed me out and the people I tried to change over to the Lord that I did feel that peace.
I cried out to God that I couldnt do it anymore, I was tired of crying, tired of being stressed and upset .......that i needed help and placed it all into His hands and I remember that night being able to sleep for the first time in along time...a restful all night sleep. The peace that filled me was indescribable......I felt the weight of my stresses lifted off my shoulders. I cried from the sheer relief of it....thats how wonderful it felt.
I have since learned that we as humans cant control all things, that we cant cant change anyone who doesnt want to be changed. All we can do is spread the love of God and Let the rest up to Him because thats His job to save, to change and take control of things that are beyond our control.
I know with Jesus on my side there isnt anything I can't make it through.... that no matter what He will take the reins and give me the strength and peace I need despite any storm that may come my way.
God bless you!

No, never felt that way. I'm outspoken and full of yadda-yadda. When things start to get out of my control, I want to reel it in, dissect it, and if possible, criticize it to the nth degree.
To be serious a moment, I have experienced once a hopelessness. This would have been a probable loss of my life and of others. With the notion that death was imminent, I didn't feel peace nor restfull, though it was somewhat invigorating but not in the sense you may think. If you want to know I will tell you.

Yes. I have found that when I think I am in control, I am totally out of control. It's always nice to do what I can do and then let the outcome be left in His Hands. Then I truly find His....

Yes we need to recognize the things God allows us to effect and the things beyond what we can effect and should turn over to him. Sometimes, that is not always an easy line to find.
By the way, are you satisfied with the responses you had to your recent question to Y Q/A about diabetes?

Yes I have. One day last week, I was fretting over everything, bursting out into tears every 10 minutes, and then I just realized that I couldn't do anything about it, and since I hadn't even done what might cause the problem, it didn't matter at all. I don't even remember what I was worried about. I slept so peacefully that night.

Interesting, and true, but then what is beyond your control, and what is within your control. You/I are part of the Universe. As such, we, individually, touch everything else individually as part of the whole, when the whole is out of balance or hurting, then the individual is out of balance. What then do you do, accept, as beyond ones control, and if it is beyond ones control do you just float with the flow to whatever destination it has?

Yes it is so true to be free of anything and let go. To accept is ok But, to like it, I just will never know if that's a restful feeling. God Bless you.

I am.....because I know God has His own ideas about how things should be and after so many various situations I've learned to trust Him. Things may seem terrible at the moment, but they work out miraculously.
