Is the tickling consensual? If yes - Pleasure. If No - possible pain.
Is the tickling relatively soft and gentle? If Yes - Pleasure If No - possible pain.
Is the tickler digging his/her fingers deep into the person being tickled? If No, possible pleasure. If Yes, probably pain.
What is the tickler using to make the other person laugh? Ostrich feathers? Pleasure! Soft dry paint brush? Pleasure! Gentle touch with soft fingernails? Frequently Pleasure!

The bottom line is that you must respect the feelings, desires and concerns of the person you are tickling. If there is TRUST, RESPECT and a desire to keep it FUN - PLEASURE is the common end result. If not, is can lead to PAIN. Furthermore.some people are so sensitive that even the softest of tickling causes them pain.

Personally, I welcome tickling encounters with ticklish women who also like to tickle in return - as long as it is consensual with trust and respect.

Tickling to excess is torture.

Sometimes that's hard to remember with kids because the giggle and like the attention. Adults should let one another know in no uncertain terms what the boundaries are.

I hate being tickled... it's very annoying.
But I love hugs and carressing... so uh...
I'd say being tickled causes me pain....not pleasure.
