I think of myself as generally a nice person,
I am non-violent, I’ve never hit anyone out of aggression, and don’t hurt animals, including spiders etc…
As far as I can see, my only real sins are… not believing in god, taking the mick out of Christians a little, oh and possibly sex before marriage.
So if god is going to send me to hell for this doesn’t that make him a little shallow?

well yes, the bible says if you don't believe then you can never enter heaven, but if you don't believe in God then you probablky don't believe in heaven or hell either so why does it matter to you anyway?

Who's to say that you are going to go to hell or not!
Your sins will not be judged by man, they will be judged by Jesus Christ.
God did not die.. He lives! Jesus Christ died for our sins so that we could be forgiven. He pathed the way for us and paid the ultimate price for our sins.
In the bible it states that if you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior then you will burn in Hell.
Jesus died for you. Not believing in God may be because you weren't raised to be religious. Its not to late to open a bible and start reading and its never to late to ask for forgiveness and to come to know the Lord.
Everybody Sins, no ones perfect but Christ! This does not mean you are a bad person or that you will go to Hell. You should acknowledge that you sin and ask God for forgiveness and try to turn from it. Christ is not shallow! Being nailed to the cross! Think about it, he died for all of our sins so that we would have a chance...
If you know that sex before marriage is wrong then you may wait and save your self for that special someone. Having sex before marriage is a sin, but no sin is unforgivable.

We all go to hell when we die. Hell is actually the common grave of mankind, not a place of fiery torment. Fiery hell was adopted from other religions by apostate Christianity several centuries ago to force their adherents into following everything they said, whether Bible-based or not. To illustrate:
If you had a stubbornly disobedient child who refused to listed to you, would you hold their hand on a hot stove to punish them? Of course not. That would be horrible. You might give them a "time out" in the corner, though. "God is love." says the Bible. It makes no sense that he would punish us eternally in a similar manner for the sins of a few short years. But he does have to remove wicked influence from the world though. So those who continue to disobey him are given a permanent "time out" through everlasting death, which is simply a state of non-existence.

you can be sent to hell for just a sinful thought. a sin is a sin no matter how great or small and sin will condem you to hell.
AHA.... There is an answer. GOD ( to which you dont believe) gave his son Jesus up for sacrifice to pay for all the sins of those who believe in him. Therefore seeing as we are all sinners to some degree without accepting Jesus Christ as your savior you have no way of having your sins washed away by his blood and therefore rot in hell for eternity. ( and that is an extremely long time). But GOD allows U-turns so jsut think about it as you ponder this...Love in Christ....Gerry

the answer is yes but not for the reason you may think the literal translation of the Greek and Hebrew words currently translated as hell mean the common grave of mankind or death there is no such place of hell fire, we all die and therefore go to hell(Sheol, hades) but the bible gives us a hope of the Resurrection and even better if we do Gods will now we don't ever have to suffer death but continue to live forever. It is not just a dream.

Oh, no doubt about it matey - your off to hell as soon as you pop your clogs! Taking the mick out of Christians? Oh, your in for a good prodding from old nick with a heated-up poker.
However, there is a way to be saved - all you have to do is follow the time honoured way of buying your way out of hell - and its your lucky day! I'm a preacher from the church of the risen bagel and I can guarantee your salvation if you bung me a brown envelope stuffed with cash and hey presto - instant heaven! well as of right now, if you still believe that God is not important, than you will go to Hell. Being a nice person does not get you intp Heaven. many people seem to think that it does, but it doesn.t You were put on this Earth for a purpose, God's purpose. In order to fulfil that purpose, you have to know God, and his love.
Having the sin of sex beofre marriage on your shoulder can be reversed. If you give yourself to Him, and understand that his love is, and that it is important to ahve a relationship wiht im in order to fulfil your purpose, than you will be forgiven. It's somehting like aborn-again-virgin.
I hope this can change your views on this subject, i really hope it does.
If you want the deeper realtionship wiht God, pray. That's all you need to do. Pray to God and say," I am a Sinner. I know i am. I've heard of your word, and i wish to be one who speaks it. I want to know you more. Please Give me the oppertunities i need to accomplish this. I want to live a new life."
i can bet you fi you pray that, he will answer it. i would bet you my life. if you pray that from the bottom of your heart, he will answer.

Yes it wouldn't make God a very fair god would it? I'm with you on this one - I'm agnostic, and I don't wish to hurt anyone, but I definitely have sex before marriage. If there is a hell, I don't believe I'm going there, because I'm good (and not just in bed).

no it does not make God a little shallow because you know about God and what sin is. it says in the bible that we are to have a relationship with Jesus to get to heaven and if you want to be rude and not listen to what the Bible says even when you know about the Bible and being a Christian then ya your going to hell.......

No, it makes him an evil, insecure, dictator.
Consider it this way:
If you have a child, and your child disobeys you, do you abandon your child to a life of suffering?
If you are a good and loving parent you will always have love for your child, and you will never abandon them.
God is not a loving parent if he would send a good person to hell for eternity just because he did not believe god existed.
Plain and simple.
