While some things are more appropriate than others, I believe that if you have an honest and earnest question in your heart that you can ask that of God. I do not believe that we get everything for which we ask. If I got millions of dollars, I would likely not use it to God's honor and glory. It is possible that I would forget God's goodness toward me. In that case, money would be bad. As far as children go, they are regarded as a blessing from God. Happy is the man whose quiver is full. Roughly quoted comparing children in a family to a soldier's "magazine" of arrows. You need the context to get it, but it's a good thing. Psalms chapter 127, verses 4 and 5.

It's never wrong to pray. God wants you to share everything with him. But God makes his own decisions. Don't demand that he change his will, but rather seek his. He knows your needs, and will provide for them.
Being faithful means trusting that God knows what he's doing and will always do what needs to be done.

Have faith when u ask, n if u think u don't ask God to give u the faith u need...:)
