got so drunk once woke up next morning in a bus shelter and cant remember leaving the pub. oh and apparently i was drinking shorts and trying to eat the glass after but dont remember that either!

Had about 12 pints once, was staggering about a bit. I find one sign of having too much is not being able to look at a spot without drifting. Its best to know your limits.
One danger I steer clear of, is shots or shorts, because then you can have vast amounts of alcohol in a small amount of liquid, these figure in most alcohol poisoning cases Ive read about. At least with beer or lager you are realitively safe because youll need to relieve yourself/get bloated pretty quickly.
