Usually when you open a piece of Bazooka Joe gum, the comic has color. But this time it was black and white!!! Does anybody know why?

The current set of comics that are wrapped around Bazooka gum are reprints of comics that came out in the 1960s, 70s or 80s. There are 50 comics in a set, of which two are black and white; no they are not missprints or errors. As further proof, go to Topps.com and see these comics in black and white on thier own website. The comics there are the originals, you can tell by the old premium offers. http://www.topps.com/Confectionery/Bazooka/BazAnn_comics.html

It all came off into the gum you are chewing. Lol. I think Bazooka can no longer afford color.

Psychological shock tactics, nostalgia, an attempt to make you appreciate frugality and ... oh, yes! Cheap manufacturer.

Because they're cheap. Maybe they're running out of money seeing as how they have out those dumb commercials every 20 minutes.
