If you are asking if your life is in danger, I doubt it. If you are asking if the spider is poisonous, then yes it is. All spiders are poisonous. There are no exceptions. That is how they eat. Not all spiders will hurt a person. Some will only irritate with a bite. A few will kill. In North America, there are only two spiders that are regarded as being that dangerous. They are the black widow, and the brown recluse...check spelling. The brown recluse is also known as the fiddle back. By the way, the amount of irritation varies and can be quite painful. Each person reacts a little differently.

This same thing happened to me a few weeks ago, never saw one before, now they're everywhere.
They are yellow garden spiders, they are not poisonous and they are not aggressive. The females are larger than the males, and have more black stripes then the males.
I don't like spiders, but I just couldn't stop looking at these, they're so cool looking.

I'd just be careful. We put an awful lot of confidence in science to the point you wonder why there isn't a bar code on everything in sight. I know light colored scorpions are poisonous, but not to death. Probably the most lethal anything can be found in the middle east, Africa, and the Amazon. Check Wikipedia on north American arachnids. Worth a shot. ( Uh, no pun intended. )

If the link doesn't work plug black and yellow garden spider into goggle. I bet that is the one and they are not harmful to humans.

Try licking it.
See if anything happens.

Wolf spiders can be... not enough to kill you but enough to harm a small animal. Be careful and kill the bastard

I say don't touch it or let it touch you. That always works.
