Medicare benefits are acessed when you become of retirement age or are disabled. Medicaid is a federally funded insurance plans for those who want everything for free. Thats how all the illegal people get free medical care.
and YES, you can get medicaid if your on Medicare.

medicaid is low income insurance and medicare is for retirees over 65 years old and over.
