Should we put an electrical fence 30 ft high across the USA/Mexico border?

If you ask this because of terrorists then my answer is yes and we should do the same thing along the USA/Canadian border. If you ask this because of illegal imigration then I say no, we should remove the barriers both north and south of the USA and establish UNA (a United North America).
Under UNA, the Mexican people would come up here and do the jobs we won't do; and the American money would go south to the good weather and build along the Pacific and Gulf Coast shores where the weather is much more pleasant. Eventually it would all even out.
To bar people because of their heritage is racist. The people of Mexico and Canada are fine people and come from beautiful countries very much like our own. We should live together as one people, one nation, as brothers and sisters.

I don't see what good that would do. I'm in Europe and the fences and walls we had here went along the borders, not across them.

Of course, as you might know, our big walls came down in 1989. Sure, they lasted for quite a few years but sooner or later people see walls for what they are: a challenge to be gotten over, either in fact or in the mind.

I just want the laws enforced ,I want the teeth put back in the Border Patrol. If a fence is what it takes then so be it.Its not to keep people in ,its to keep them out.No resemblance to the Berlin wall..No amnesty,Deport all illegals ,place the military on the border and do not let anyone in that's not legal.

Sure, why not. It will slow the flow of illegals and cut the flow of cash going to Mexico. Mexico will be forced to deal with their poor to which they would fail miserably at. Hence, this would spark some sort of revolution that would destabilize Mexico and any trade agreement with the US would go to sh***. American business would stand to lose billions of dollars should this happen. Also the US would be uneasy with the fact that one of their neighboring country is on the brink of collapse. Okay, let's build it.

I have a better idea,of course,this will upset liberals,but i am not politically correct,or care to be,my country,and way of life mean more to me than,what liberals think,here it is,hire about 500 mercenaries,for each state along mexican border,and patrol the the area,shoot to kill dump bodies back in to mexican border,for effect,no more illegals. i am serious i know what these people are about,i deal with them all the time.one of you liberals should learn Spanish and listen,to radio station in the border area,if it doesn`t scare you,it should at least make you mad!

Why so people can dig under it? You have to understand that would be a huge waste and they would find ways around it. Granted I dont want people free loading off our land but it is gonna happen. I think they need to make it a little easier to become a citizen then we wouldnt waste so much on trying to keep them out and the immagrants just out smarting us.
