I think there is Truth to be found in all religions but the Truth protects itself from the unwise.

You can not grasp the Truth as you would a stone, you must cup your hand and hold it as though scooping water from a steam.

I find Truth and Beauty in many religions, including my own.

Judaism--because its celebrations and customs tie the concrete stuff of everyday life, births and growing of crops and the changing of the seasons, with the worship of the Almighty, somewhat remote and intangible creator God.

Christianity--because it witnesses to Jesus, who is Truth. God seems more accessible than He does in Judaism. Some of the liturgical churches have retained the "earthiness" of Judaism, but many of the other denominations have adopted an almost Gnostic aversion to the physical world. Some Christians have equated "Western" with "Christian," and that attitude deprives the Church of the diversity of expression that a faith for all "tribes and tongues" should have. Just the same, any glimpse of Jesus, however obscured, is a glimpse at Truth and Beauty.

Folk religions that retain the vestiges of original monotheism -- from the dawn of history when men like Enoch and Melchizedek walked with God and learned some of His secrets. God has left His stamp on all of these, and a witness to a Savior who will be coming for them.

Islam---the person who wrote this poem was a Muslim. Need I say more?

I'm with "potatomuncher." The may have constructed beautiful buildings, but whatever truth there is in them can also be found outside of them - and without the disguise.

Yes, but truth and beauty can be more easily found within one's self and in nature without having to wade through myth and dogma.

Yes, I believe this. It's unfortunate that we tend to see the negative side, based on a small percentage of people who believe in a religion that don't represent the beauty of that religion.

Yes there is. Everyone who seeks out the truth would go to the most available sources to start with. However, the danger is if one failed to distinguished the truth from the bunch of lies peddled along in one particular religion(i.e. thou shall not have graven images/idols) then you would definitely trapped yourself in confusion. Half-truth is as dangerous as total lies.

I think all world religions have some elements of truth and beauty...however that is not to say that there are also elements of suppression, legalism and falsehoods and incitement.
