This guy who I go to school with (I'm a freshman in H.S.) used to like me last year. He'd always be really nice to me and flirt with me a lot, and he never found out that I knew that he liked me. I was just waiting for him to ask me out, because I'd probably say 'yes'. Then all of a sudden, he completely ignored me and was mean to me all the way till now. And I don't mean to get all childish, but his comments can really cut deep and hurt my self-esteem, he's so mean to me now. I just don't get it. What do you think?

It could be a flirting tactic but from what you've said he's probably a little immature and doesn't realise how fragile teenage girls are when it comes to saying hurtful things. If you think there's still something between you then give it a shot, if not then don't look too much into it teenagers are just a pack of hormones going all over the place he probably doesn't even know hes being mean.

that's the classic way some guys actually flirt.... sounds weird i know but you need to be honest with him... if you like him tell him... and tell him his comments are hurting you...
