Where I live, the license and the ticket are handled by 2 separate government agencies. If a person pays all of their court fines, they still have to deal with the department of public safety and jump through a separate set of hoops and pay another set of expensive fines to get their license re-instated. Tell your sister not to drive during her license suspension........because if she's pulled over and ticketed for DAS [driving after suspension] she isn't doing herself any favors.
If she has a court date, she can try to speak to the prosecutor and see if they are willing to make an offer to her to reduce her fines, but alot will depend on her past driving record..........don't miss any court dates or forget to pay any tickets.......you may say you "forgot", but the courts don't forget!

The court date was probly way before the price got upped. She will most likely have to pay the whole thing but she can call the county dmv to find out what her options are.

She can talk to the judge, but she needs to be ready to pay the whole fine. The lesson learned is that she will pay a little more attention next time won't she?

Contact DMV and the court and arrange a payment plan.

OF course she should have went to court and she should have paid the fine.

Now it is too late to do anything but pay the fine.

She'll have to pay the ticket or her license will be suspended.
