He can't love the new girl like he loved the old one. He will love the new one for who she is and all that she has to offer in his search for harmony. Obsessions are hard to get rid of. He has to be careful, he doesn't want to get hurt so he may be cautious and try to make less mistakes in the process. He must feel comfortable in the new relationship so he can begin to get romantically creative again. If the new girl has time and cares enough for this man she should be patient. Scars take time to heal.

Each and every love is different.
You can never love someone the same as a person that came before.
That is not to say that they are not in love at all, or that they have any less feelings for the new person.
It is just a different kind of love and will be it's own style with the new person in their life.

You love every woman in a different way. You shouldn't compare the two women (especially if you are one of them). Love is funny--see if it is growing. And if that was his first girlfriend, definitely don't worry about it. Young love is weird--once you are old enough to figure out that the obsession was half illusion, your idea of love begins to be based on reality and feelings rather than your idea of what love should be, and how much you want to be in love.

Yes it's possible. It is really up to him to make the final commitment to forget the past and begin a new social life. It's up the girl that's with him to be understandable of where he's at and help him move along.

Only time will tell as the relationship grows. It takes at least 6 months for people to even start to really know each other.. JMHO GaryT

Yes he can love you like he loved the other one.
Just make sure you find out he still isn't loving the other one still, or there could/will be problems in the near future.

it is hard to get off of someone you really loved. If there was closure between the guy and the girl then it would be safe for some girl to date him.

Its hard to say. But he probably could love her as much. But if she were to question his love at all it makes it clear that he doesn't love her as much. I would advise this girl to talk to him. Guys aren't good at talking about their feelings but sometimes it just must be done.
