Not without some rather extreme surgery.

A better question is, why would you care? They're just scriptures. In other words, writings that were written over the course of hundreds of years by men long dead in languages many of which no longer exist. A good or righteous person depends on your opinion of what those words mean and that depends on the time and place in which you live. In other words, it's all very arbitrary. The gift of being able to think is a truly marvelous gift. Don't waste it.

Proverbs Chapter 31 gives the description of a wife who is more precious than corals.

Do I fit that profile? I try, but since I am imperfect, I keep falling short. Fortunately for me, my husband seems to think that I am precious. Think he would know after 30 years of marriage?

I'll tell you one thing, my Son. I've been married for almost 26 years and my Partner hasn't complained about my job yet! (well, outside of the dishes not being done..heh) As for the Scriptures, men wrote them and until they get off thier butts and do a load of wash, I don't care to listen. Blessings.

According to scripture a wife's job is to be the husbands helper. We are to be submissive to our husbands.

But we have the easy job....

Men are to love their wives as God loves the church.

And men answer to God when they screw it up!

And to answer your question - yes I am a righteous, Christian wife and I have a very loving Christian husband.

Eph 5:22 Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.

Eph 5:24 But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.

Col 3:18 Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.

1Pe 3:1 In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives,

Don't be discouraged though ladies...

Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her,

Eph 5:28 So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself;

Col 3:19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be embittered against them.

1Pe 3:7 You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.

The Bible does say, "Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord," but it also instructs, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it" (Ephesians 5:22,25). A man who under-stands that Jesus Christ sacrificed His life’s blood for the Church will likewise love his wife sacrificially and passionately. He will Honor her, respect her, protect, love, and cherish her as much as he does his own body, as he is instructed to do (Ephesians 5:28). He will never say or do anything to harm or demean her. It is in this atmosphere of love and security that a godly wife willingly submits herself to the protective arms of her husband. She does this not because he is better than she is, but simply because this is God’s order for His creation.

A godless world rejects the God-given formula to make marriage work. It thinks it knows best, and suffers the heartbreaking consequences of destroyed marriages and ruined lives. The Christian ideal of marriage is not one of an authoritarian and chauvinistic male holding his cringing wife in submission like an obedient dog. It’s the very opposite. While most of the great religions treat women as inferior to men, the Bible gives them a place of dignity, Honor, and unspeakable worth, expressed so evidently in Proverbs 31.

Im a married female and can prefer to comprehend, no count who it became from. yet...i might prefer some style of verification. good success to you, I want you the perfect and that i hate it which you had to circulate by this. you probably did the perfect element by getting the hell far off from her. If that means being submissive to my husband, then I say hahahaha! And I do not expect him to be submissive to me. We are partners...equal partners in this journey of ours. My husband is much too smart to want a submissive puppy for a wife.

I asked my wife to answer this and I cannot repeat what she said about the scriptural definitions of a wife. Suffice it to say it ended in " ...I'd rather eat shi*t!!"
