In the chaos of the battlefield the internal discipline and self control of a soldier is what keeps him and those around him working as a team to keep all alive. Off the field that discipline and self control means that the techniques and training a soldier possesses are not used inappropriately. Imprisoned murders are bereft of these qualities and are not capable of learning or acquiring these qualities. A soldier is not a murderer. He achieves preset objectives using training and skills acquired to overcome geographical and man made obstacles. He will kill any
enemy soldier who would prevent him from obtaining his objective. The soldier will fight through pain, emotional distress and weather that would stop a yak. Murderers can never learn the true toughness that will stop them from giving up, hiding and running.

although sending inmates to Iraq will be a suitable component to do--it does no longer be fairly intelligent! The inmates are literally not allowed to take section contained in the militia because they might likely turna nd artwork for the opposing usa. i'd fairly hate to imagine of tens of millions of greenback of equipment in an inmate's possession! The lack of existence penalty will be suffcient if there became absolute self belief in no matter if the man became fairly to blame. there have been too many blunders made in this component that we call a justice equipment. many everybody is charged with crimes that they fairly did not devote. i'd fairly hate to be the man to positioned an threat free guy/lady to lack of existence. until eventually the justice equipment can not be bought or tricked by technique of crooked legal experts, i do no longer imagine we'd like a stricter regulations. i imagine society want to artwork on issues that motives human beings to devote crimes, which contain drugs an alcohol.

For just a nano-second it sounds pretty good; then reason sets in and the picture changes. Who would be willing to be their commanders ?Since we know convicted murderers are already being housed, fed, clothed, and entertained at taxpayers expense, who thinks they would want to actually work for what they get for free now? How many would follow their commanders' orders? How many would be trustworthy to fight alongside their fellow soldiers and not kill them instead? These are not America's finest examples of brave, honest, good men. Do we really want to turn them loose anywhere with weapons and ammunition??? Uh..........no!

fighting wars tkes a lot more than being able to kill, although that is a very much needed skill, it takes a fair amount of inteligence to learn weapons systems, and tactics. not to mention, the courage and loyalty it takes to be an effective war fighter and to protect your brothers. putting convicted killers overseas is doing nothing more than putting the braves Marines (or soldier) that jioned by chioce in danger.

The problem is, Convicted Felons lack Discipline, you couldn't control them.
The army is about control.you just can't go out and murder for free.
Even if we are in need of personnel.. Untrainable people need not apply.

All of you who think this is a good Idea I really hope you are only joking.
To those of you who really do think it a good Idea are absolute IDIOTS who have zero concept of what it is to serve your country and sit there and critisize the Military and you can't even grasp the concept that you are able to do so only because of the military you so readily slander.
The price of freedom is not free.

Not gonna happen! Who would want to - or have the time, effort, and talent - to keep track of them? They have already demonstrated their disaffection with the rules in society. What makes you think they will only target the "enemy" when so many young, virile, women, or men as they might prefer, are there as well?

No, giving guns to them to be alongside our guys and gals that are good people?
I don't think so.
I'd agree to sending them to live in Iraq prisons though.

We are not in Iraq to "kill others". Believe me, if that is what we were there for they would all be very dead by now and we would have never put a brave soldiers foot on the sand.
