It depends on the type of truck. There are small trucks to get into smaller places or might be used for grass fires. There are hook and ladder trucks that are very long with a cherry picker on the end to reach high places. There are pumpers, tankers, squad trucks for firefighters. Some start the same size as cars or trucks and reach to sizes larger than a tractor trailer.The engines generally have double ignitions to assure starting.
