Neither. Never trust a liar and a mean, honest person is usually self righteous. I do like a nice, honest person who knows when to say what needs to be said and when to keep their mouth shut.

Ok, you sound like someone I know.
I would prefer a mean honest person. The fact is, that truth hurts no matter how you sugar coat it.
I love to sing... if someone told me I was really bad at it, I would have a choice of whether to stop singing or get lessons and coaching.
But if someone lied to me, and said I was good, but then I made a complete *** out of myself in front of a bunch of people, I would HATE the nice liar because that person set me up for a really really big fall.
Same with clothes. If you look bad, your real friends will tell you, "Hey, that's not for you..."
Same with weight. If you are gaining weight and your friends don't say, "hey, want to go get some excercise... " your health could be at risk...
Several other examples could come to mind.. Let's not forget the NUMBER ONE reason you should be mean and honest... Friends don't let friends drive drunk... be honest, be mean, take the keys.

Mean honest person is preferable, definitely. Beautiful or nice liars can be the most harmful.

A mean honest person because sometimes people don't listen when you are nice and honest. You have to give it to them straight in order for them to comprehend!

A person like me, honest, and if that comes across as being mean, then oh well.
