There was a Tsunami last year? In 2005? The last big tsunami I heard about was the one which occured in December of 2004.

First of all this life is a mere punishment from God for the sin of Eve, the righteous who died in last year's tsunami will live in heaven for eternity. Everything that happens on Earth is a part of the grand plan of God. God punishes wicked humans and tests righteous humans in many ways.

Even from an atheist point of view, death is a part of life, we have to accept that fact, the earlier the better, so we can live a stress-free life. We can learn from last year's tsunami, by preparing for future tsunamis, to minimise the tragic loss of life.

In a way, we can never fully prepare for any natural disaster, but it is logically better to just be righteous and encourage others to be righteous, for God punishes the peoples among whom there is a major shortage of righteous people, so as to make them realise that they need to be righteous, for God is angry with them for some of their evils.

Natural disasters have not struck the holy land since biblical times, because since then the majority of the people have been very righteous.

Many people attribute the tsunami and many other natural disasters occurring around the world to the end times, and as a sign that we should be much more righteous and faithful, there is nothing wrong with being more righteous and faithful.

Actually, God indiscriminately kills millions of people each day (including right now as you are reading this) through hundreds of natural causes (and some un-natural ones) like old age, cancer, accidents, disease, bombs, guns, etc.

You only noticed the tsunami because it was on the news.

The real question is why do we have to die in the first place, and what are we going to do to prepare for it.

How old is the universe? lets just guess and say 10 billion years now your God your in heaven your over 10 billions years old. Some one comes up to you and complains about being inconvenienced for a millisecond. That whats a human lie time is. Imagine the worst pain possible. Would it be horrible if it was a second would you even notice. Then when you arrive in heaven and realize that you are 10 billion years old too. That the last incarnation was just a second then its not a big deal is it, Its a big deal to us here. but there when we see the whole picture.

First everybody is going to die (or move on to the next experience as I like to look at it)...that's that. The Universe and everything in it is ever changing. This planet has been in constant change for millions of years and it's going to continue to change for millions more. God is what is. I agree the tsunami was terrible. But that's life. The world is going to change and some of it may be devastating to us as we experience it. But it's always been that way....how we get through it is up to us....we are responsible for us...not God.

Why do you put the cause of the tsunami on God? Are you sure He is responsible? Maybe the tsunami was just the force of nature that happened because of an under-sea earthquake...cause and effect.

The only fair reason God sent the tsunami, last year, is the very same reason that he sent the flood in Noah's time is to teach people that he exists like we all do and to start to pay more attention to him, so he can guide us through the end of this age and so we as christians can survive the final trials and judgements that he is going send us at the end of the world.

Hmm, did you ever read the book of Genesis? Does the story of Noah and the Arc ring a bell? The tsunami was not the first time he wiped people about by water.

I don't think God created it.. it is nature's doing..

I don't believe God wants to control every single aspect of life. If he came in and took all the bad away, all choices, all freedoms I don't think there would be much purpose in life anymore.. what's the point if everything is perfect in front of you.. God created the earth and mankind .. what's the point if he dictates everything we do?? There are consequences for the decisions we all make, every single day, there can be a ripple effect with those decisions.. hope that makes sense to you..

Hmmmm. Let's see now.

People like the ACLU (and others) have kicked God out of government, they have kicked God out of schools, they're trying to kick God out of the country, and people have the nerve to ask why God created disasters like the tsunami (and don't forget Hurrican Katrena)?

Let God back in and He can prevent these things from happening, but He won't force Himself on anybody. If you ask Him to leave, He will, and you reap the consequences and can't understand why.

It's really a no-brainer. We need revival in this country. We need the ACLU OUT of this country.
