I have suggested to my brother that he should write about his special gift of human knowledge, and decided to get some feedback from yahoo answers.

My brother is, what I call, a born psychologist. Better than any school taught ones I have ever met. He predicted 2 years before my last wife wanted to split that she was building up to that. And contrary to the perception, that wizards can only do magic for others, he can do that for himself too. ;-)

According to him, people are totally predictable, just as I can predict the behavior of computers (which he is comfortable but not good with).

Because it is virtually impossible for people to surprise him, he is very understanding of their shortcomings, he has no paranoia, and puts out a relaxed aura, that makes women 50 years his junior approach him in a relaxed manner and fashion and offer their companionship.

Not having that talent, it took me until I was about 25 before I realized that he had any chinks in his armor, that he was, in fact, human.

But based on my experience with him, I have learned to trust his judgment completely. Like a blind person trusting seeing ones that lead them across an unseen intersection.

Here a link to the start of something he put together of his own earliest memories. http://www.filmscripts.us/Babywitholdeyes.html

So, what do you think?

Some of the knee jerk reactions are very interesting. The statement that some would rather go though life blind and be surprised, in view of how often I have read dismay that the opposite sex was so hard to understand.

But I wanted reactions, whatever they may be, the carefully thought out ones all the way to the totally out of it ones.
Sort of a poll. See what yahoo answers is really about. So, even to the abusive jerks, thank you. ;-)

Well, I had hoped for mature answers from the above 12 y.o. crowd, but that didn't happen with very few exceptions. Maybe I picked the wrong category. I can see that people are very conflicted and don't really understand nor know what they want. I am still too much of an optimist. My fault.

There are in fact hords of information on relationships and dating, female psychology etc.

I have a friend whi IS a psychiatrist and has a model that he has created that teaches everyday people complicated psychology.

In a nutshell, sure, have him write a book, there's lots of people looking for good information on the subject!

I can imagine there might be a small market for the book: social sciences: psychology: women's studies in the college circuit. There might also be a small market if placed in the self-help section of book stores. However....

As a degree holder in psychology myself and all around observer of life and human nature, I would not be interested in the book. I enjoy the experience of learning an individual on my own. That is the adventure of social beings.

Besides, it is my experience that there is no absolute defining statement about female behavior though once you know a person one can predict with amazing accuracy how she will react in situations.

I believe a person's behavior is shaped by the individual's experiences both actively (involvement) and inactively (observation of those around them). On top of that, it is how that person perceives the experience that determines how it is coded in his or her memory. Coding is based on experience/ observation(cultural & societal norms/ beliefs/media). It's a vicious cycle. This is how we decide what to do with the information given to us/ the events around us. So many variables.

If there were no more questions to ponder, I might lose interest in everything. How boring it would be.

though your brother may be good at reading people i can garantee he does know a thing about women. The term is way to broad. Women cant really be catagorized because they are way to different from one another. He would only be making generalizations that wouldnt get anyone that far. He exudes confidence and acts like he doesnt get surprised. I have the same "gift" Really he is just good at blowing smoke up peoples a$$es

Fascinating... a born psychologist you say? Sounds like a good read... but ppl usually read books written by a pro. Good Luck!

Yeah well the only problem with that is some people love to fool the psychologist and will tell them exactly what they want to hear and laugh their asses off the whole time. Someone tries to get inside my mind and that is exactly what I would do.

The concept of a book like that is a myth.

No man could ever write it: Sorry, no man is that insightful.

No woman could write it: Women do not know what they want, how to get what they think they want or even why they do the things they do.

No I already know how to behave.I'm up front and honest, don't play head games or pull any punches. My man knows all about me and what to expect and not to expect, doesn't need a book to figure me out.
