That's cute and sweet that he asked you before kissing you.
It's none of your mom's business if you kissed a guy. No reason at all to tell her.
But don't get too disillusioned. Your idea of "love" today is a lot different than it will be 10 years from now. You'll have a lot of boyfriends in your life; give yourself a chance.
Also realize that moms have a funny sense about that kind of thing. If they don't like the significant other, there's probably a good reason, and they're probably right, even though you won't see it 'til sometime long after it's over.

I would not tell her about the kiss if that is all that has happened. Parents can tend to be really over protective, but if you are really serious about the guy- I would tell your mom that you really like this boy, and want to know how you could set up a way to be able to see him with her approval. come up with a good compromise, and be honest about your feelings for the boy. If it ever comes to a point where you would like to do more than kiss, definatly talk to mom about it first. I know that sounds really akward and lame, (and scary), but trust me- mom's appreciate honestly, even if they get mad at first.

Dont tell her unless she asks you. Its none of her business and she probably thinks you already have anyways... I told my mom about my first kiss (i had it when i was 15) when I was 18... thats the age where you can start confessing everything you did and got away with. Wait till then!

i guess it depends on how old you are, a first kiss is something special, and if ur really young like 11 or 12 then i could see how she might be mad, especially if she doesnt like him. i dont think u have to tell her about it, but make sure it doesnt go farther than just a kiss

Why doesn't your Mom like the guy? I would say not to tell her, I didn't tell my parents about my first kiss, and I'm 31:)

Why is it any of your mother's business that you had your first kiss? Don't tell her. If you want to talk about it, tell your friends. But your mom really doesn't need to know.

It was just a kiss, if you have a good relationship with your mother that's different then go ahead and tell her.. But you say your mom doesn't like him, so just wait...Just go with your feelings...

Maybe she doesn't like him because she doesn't trust him. Perhaps if she feels like you are being honest (i.e. telling her everything that happens) she will be more O.K. with you guys being together. Keeping secrets is not good, unless you LIKE learning things the hard way. Your mom just wants what's best for you!

Depends on how old u are. If she ask I would tell her. Other wise it's no big deal. Just don't go any further than kissing.
