Why don't you talk to the missionaries about this? If you're serious about converting, you should be speaking with them and learning from then already. Visit www.lds.org
As for pre-marital sex. It's ok. You didn't know then, but you do now. You can't change what you did in the past. Thank goodness for the repentance proccess huh? Also, while the church highly recommends viewing movies and TV that are good for your soul, no one ever said anything about rated R movies specifically. My husband and I are both LDS and I work in the film industry. I choose to watch some rated R films, but they are typically war films or have a bit of violence. I never want to subjhect myself to anything truly horrific. Who needs that crap on your soul and brain.
Also, the same goes rfor caffiene. No where does it say to refrain from caffiene. It says refrain from coffee and black tea.
You'll be fine. Give the missionaries a call ok?

There is nothing in our religion that says we cant have caffeine, we are just told it should be limited because of it's side affects which is common knowledge. Also just as with any Christian religion we do not believe in premaritla sex but you cant take it back, you can just move forward so that wouldn't stop you either. To address the R rated movies , yes we are told to stay away from any movie or book that is obscene. Obvioulsy you are trying to be funny and put down our religion.
To the person who wrote you must be from the lineage of Joseph Smith to go to heaven, and be married in Utah, that is a new one to me. I haven't heard that made up lie before, so nice try.

First of all, I am saddened to read some of the cruel responses. I commend you on seeking help and advice on this important decision and I am sorry some take such matters so lightly or see this as a joke. My advice is do not listen to me, or any of these other people for advice. Go straight to the Lord. Ask in prayer, sincerely, if this is what you should do. He is the only one who can confirm the feelings in your heart and let you know what is right for you.
As for repentance, the bible tells us to forive "7x70". If we should forgive others, can't we also be forgiven for our sins? I know that we can. That is why Christ gave His life for us, so we can be forgiven, if we sincerely repent.
If your heart is in the right place, the struggles of life, big and small can be overcome. If your biggest issues at the moment are the movies and drinks, you are far ahead most people in this world. As for the premarital sex, we can only act according to the knowledge we have. If you now believe the Mormon faith is right in refraining from sexual relations before marriage, live that way from now on and you can be "in tune" with the commandment and be forgiven for things in the past.
I know, without a doubt, that the Lord will forgive us. He does not want us to be miserable and wallow in our sins, He wants us to be free from them and have joy in this life and the next.
Pray, then take the time to listen for an answer to your prayers and I think you will know if the Mormon faith is right for you.
It worked for me, I have faith it can work for you.

Personally I try to go to the Bible for accurate answers however I believe the Mormons use the Bible to a degree and then isn't it true (and I mean this in the best way possible) that when they do not agree with something in the bible, they got to their own book...The book of Mormon.I only wonder about this because I can see that the two books are most definately not in harmony with each other and then there is
Revelation 22:18 so,if you trust God why not pray to Him for guidance and to gain Accurate knowledge to be able to make a wise decision.

The only way to get to Heaven is obedience to acts 2:38 and living a separated life. There is no "highest" level of Heaven. There is either Heaven or Hell. To find a church in your area, I would suggest you check out www.upci.org and find a local assembly.

Besides the fact that you already have "blown" it, or the stylish holy underwear that you could sport, or all the fun you'd miss with the traveling that no one would listen to a word you'd say besides other moronic confused individuals as yourself - why the *&^* would you want to convert? Are you bored and retarded to think you can't get into heaven without being a freak? There's enough freaks around in every religion, no need to join one of biggest freak communes around. You'll get into heaven buddy you haven't killed anyone, or have you just not disclosed that information?

A cult is any group which teaches doctrines or beliefs that deviate from the biblical message of the Christian faith. It is very important that we recognize cults and avoid any involvement with them. Cults often teach some Christian truth mixed with error, which may be difficult to detect. There are some features common to most cults:
They do not adhere solely to the sixty-six books of the Bible as the inspired Word of God. They add their "special revelations" to the Bible as equally authoritative.
They do not accept that our relationship to Jesus Christ is a reality "by grace through faith" alone, but practice instead a salvation by works.
They do not give Jesus Christ, the divine Son of God, full recognition as the second Person of the Trinity, composed of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Some of these groups are Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, the Unification Church, Unitarians, Spiritists, Scientologists, and others.
HOW TO BE SAVED AND BECOME A TRUE CHRISTIAN
We can never be saved because of what we do; we can only be saved because of what Jesus Christ has already done for us. Let me explain.
Our greatest problem can be put in one word: sin. Sin cuts us off from God, and sin also keeps us out of heaven. But how can we get rid of our sins? We can't erase them or cause them to disappear by ourselves; we don't have the power. The only way we can get rid of our sins is for someone to come along and take them away for us.
And that is exactly what Jesus Christ did for us. We are weighed down by the burden of our sins—but Jesus took that burden upon Himself when He died on the cross for us. To put it another way, He took the punishment we deserve when He went to the cross in our place. The Bible says, "For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God" (1 Peter 3:18).
What must you do? Simply believe that Christ has taken away your sins, and then receive Him into your heart and life. The Bible's promise is for you: "To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12). Become God's child today by asking Christ to come into your life.
