the process is slow. i live in a block of apartments, there is a antisocial youth who lives below me unfortunatley, who has a lot of reckless thuggish friends, and there always being noisey rowdy, shouting aggressively, riding motor bikes recklessly. there behaviour is intimidating and extremely annoying, and for me whos got bad anxiety and panic, and anger and paranoid issues it can be hell..just before i got a knock at my door, quite loud and harsh, i was scared because its 9pm here and i dont get any visitors, so i answered it, and it was a young shaven headed thug telling me does such a person live here...so when i said no sorry...he was like demanding that he does and tried pushing open my door, then i said,' no he doesnt sorry ', more forcefully and shut my door.....but this situation has got me frightened and havin panic attacks, as it shook me up, and i didnt expect it like i said, can anyone tell me any words of advice and comfort? has this happened to anyone else?

If the block is owned by the council, call them, and try and get as many residents as possible on your side.See your doctor and ask him/her to write a letter on your behalf, stating how it's affecting your health.Get the letter photo-copied and give a copy to anyone who may be able to help...such as your local councillor if you live in England.Call the police as often as you need to.They don't always help, but every call has to be logged as proof that you rang. This will help in your evidence of how bad things are.Keep a notebook handy and write down times and what occured...when it finished.Good luck.Hope you get somewhere decent soon.
