Good question Brent F! Virgil Hill always seemed to be fighting in his home town and was a very clever boxer. Torres who knocked out Willie Pastrano to win the Lgt Heavyweight title had more weapons going for him than Hill particularly in the power department and was a very good body puncher. I believe that for 10 rounds it would be a fairly even match with Torres landing the cleaner and harder punches. I believe that in the 12th round the referee intervenes and raises Torres hand in victory.

Why is everyone ragging on Hill?

He made 21 defenses of legitimate portions of the light heavyweight title - in two separate reigns. All predominantly with his left hand. He is a walking, breathing example of the importance of the jab. One of the best in history.

Now, in his early forties, he is a serious threat in the Cruiserweight division, actually holding a 'world title' for an alphabet body.

Hill wins this fight, teaching Torres about the importance of the jab.

Hill fought primarily in his home state and Torres is a winner in this one against the light hitting Hill
