oh and by the way I go to a public catholic school. it's not private, because the church or whatever funds the school so anyone can go.sheesh.

Wow..that's really a bummer! I went to private school most of my elementary and high school years and I find that bizarre. I remember in high school though the girls had free will on how short they could wear their skirts and some of them wore their skirts really short. I thought it was a bit trampy and trashy, but that was just my opinion.
Talk to the principal and class president about it. Get other students to sign a petition. What about the PTA? If you really want to change it, talk with all the top people you can.
Good luck on your crusade!
P.S. What kind of pants can a girl wear in Catholic School that would be the least bit feminine or fashionable?!?!?!?!

Start a petition. don't base your reason for objection on "looking pretty" and/or boys turning "gay".
This 'getting rid of skirts' really bothers you and it is a possibility that your education will suffer because of your distress at the proposed change.
Your argument will be that it would be unfair on the existing students of the school to alter the dress code in the middle of your education... this will disrupt your concentration and this may mean that you do not do as well in exams as you would have done had the school not interfered with your dress code.

i promise you, boys don't become gay by being surrounded by girls who wear trousers. outside that i'm a wee bit worried about the way you see yourself as a girl. do you really think wearing skirts and looking pretty is all girls and women are born for? if so, you might want to go to your school library and read up on what it means to be female, cos, honestly, it's not that. and, btw, you can look pretty in trousers to. as for your actual question, i guess you'd be best off voicing your concerns to your class president or the student council. one last thing: i've always heard the educational standard in catholic highschools in higher than in public highschools, so could you please make your school proud and honour the money your parents are putting into getting you a decent education by employing correct spelling and grammar? it would make your question a lot easier to understand. thank you!

Maybe you should really focus on your EDUCATION and not on what you are wearing. But, I guess someone like yourself really doesn't have to worry about that. Your aspirations probably go much like this: 1. Make everyone that is around me feel like ****, so that I can feel like top dog, because I really have a low self esteem.
2. Meet Paris Hilton
3. Get plastic surgery to look just like her.
4. Live off of my parents just like her.
5. Make a sex tape.
6. Get famous because of my sex tape and embarrass my whole family.
7. In the meantime, I am still mooching off of my parents.

You know you really should be far less concerned about the uniform and far more concerned about the education you are getting.
If you are in high school you should be able to write almost like an adult. Instead you write like a childish ten year old. Pretty sad. But I guess that's what you get when you are educated in the South.

I'm sorry you're upset but if you'd like to change this i suggest going to your class president and talking to them about it or making a case and going to the principal to talk to them about it. But other than that good luck and hope you get your skirts back.

That is Catholicism for you. If showing your legs gives you (and the guys) pleasure then it must be prohibited. Look on the bright side, you may have been born a Muslim and have to cover everything.

There are some outrageous fundamentalist who believe women who wear jeans are sinning. I think it's ludicrous.
