she's a loving dog with the kids,
but she does not know how to control her self. she barks uncontrolably, she likes to test me when i tell her "stop!" she will still bark softly and look at me. licks the heck outta the family even when you yell at her to stop, she still does. she's destructive. we bought a $80 fence for her and a terrier we've had sice she was a pup. for them to stay in the kitchen because we are gone most of the day, and they just pee all over. when we are back shes in the livingroom. i have even spanked her and yelled at her "no, bad dog!" hoping she will realize that she is not to hop that fence, but she still does. i dont know what to do with her no more. sometimes i get so frustrated.....and think of giving her away, but a cant do that. she acts like a little kid, she's 1y. and 9m. she even annoys our other dog. any advise?

When you are gone crate the dog and most of the problems will be sloved.
As for her testing you that is exactly what she is doing and she is winning. You tell her not to and she still barks, she wins.
The more things she wins at the less control you will have.
You need to get into some training classes and learn how to conrol the dog so that you can effectively teach her not do things and how to properly correct her for imporoper behavior.

Please be patient. You did a great thing in rescuing the dog and you do not know the history that she has. Do not leave her loose in the house unless you can watch her all of the time. When you are not there, crate her in a crate that is just big enough for her to stand up and turn around in. Feed her in this crate and give her a treat every time she goes in it so that she gets to think of it as a good place. Get a spray bottle and spray her when she barks uncontrollably, immediately tell her she is good and give her a treat when she stops barking - she will eventually get the message. As other people have said, try obedience training, but get some behavioral training too. If you cannot afford it, you can find info. on the web. Best of luck. Remember, there are no bad dogs, just uneducated owners.

First of all let me say this. Never hit your dog. I have a 9 month old and i trained her myself. When i brought her home i would take her outside after every nap and about an hour after she ate. After she did her business i would give her a little treat for going outside and say good girl baby. She seemed to pick up on it pretty fast. If you are not home alot during the day i would suggest that you have someone take her outside for you. Puppies can not hold there bladder for very long. And if you make them hold it too long it can cause problems in them when they get older. As far as the fence goes, why not try a cage. My dog didn't like it at first but she grew to know of it as her bedroom :-)

Dogs live in the moment - you have to catch her in the bad act to let her know that it's not acceptable. You yelling at her later only confuses her since you're yelling at her when she's not doing anything.

She needs to go through dog training - you will have better control of her and be able to better read her.

It also sounds like she needs more exercise - you should probably walk her longer and more often.

I have not have been given any suggestion for you appropriate to the papers, yet many dogs wade by a 'concern' degree between 6 and eight months previous. you are able to desire to coach him that strangers are no longer something to be petrified of. build his self assurance. you got a domestic dog for risk-free practices. you does no longer assume a touch one to be a physique take care of, do no longer assume a domestic dog to be a private risk-free practices dogs.

You may want to consider crating her until you got some training done.Try obedience classes it will help her a great deal and help her to understand you are in charge. Make sure she gets plenty of exercise, and get her some toys that can consume her time. The Kong toys are great.

training.. training.. training. my friend used a trick on a dog that sounds just as crazy.. she used a spray bottle and used the word NO when the dog was doing something she shouldn't be., once the dog realized a squirt meant she is doing something bad.. she didn't have to say anything.. this dog is still alittle crazy, but i dog sit and use to same trick and it works really well.. i don't mind dog sitting at all...

TRAINING!!!!! You let her get away with it once and then she does it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have to be alpha over the little dog!!!!! Get to obedience class and have the instructor help you with specific problems and follow the instructions TO THE LETTER ALL THE TIME!!! You can't train a dog by enforcing it some of the time!!
