well - lets not deal with the racism aspect - it simply isn't true. The first people's we have cities and such weren't in places of "black people" but that doesn't mean they didn't have a role in their formation.

It would be racist for a few reasons. First, civilization has different definitions depending on where you are and who you are. That's not defined at all. Secondly, you're assuming that people of different races actually exist...homo sapien is one race, or species...we may come from different regions but we're not different races. That sort of archaic terminology almost invariably crops up out of racist thinking, just because it's considered very dated these days. Third, it assumes that civilization only cropped up in one place. Asia and South America had booming cultures that have many traits we normally consider civilized these days and had no contact whatsoever with Africa or Europe for hundreds of years at a time. So that would be why people would probably be considering you racist if you're running around talking about the superiority of blacks.

Namaste!

Gosh ... archeologists have found evidence of amazing civilizations in all parts of the world. There isn't any one race that has a monopoly on civilization. On the other hand, European Christians have a good claim to being the least civilized of all, with their many centuries of wars, imperialism, colonialism, slavery and religious persecution. Ancient Chinese may have been the most advanced, but ancient Greeks, Egyptians and native Americans all had awesome early civilizations ... all while western Europeans were running around being stupid.

According to that same history... white people came from there as well... considering the first civilization was Sumer... and there really isn't anything to show there were other civilizations during that time, except the Chinese civilization.

Humble myself to what?

And the reality of world history is, every group of people has been racist at one time or another. Even whites against whites (look at the Nazi's)... and blacks against blacks.... Still didn't solve a damn thing, did it?

Why are you so race conscious, is what more prominently comes to mind. It's as if you had set up a little store and set out your wares and have nothing to offer but pontificating badly on your skin. There's a lot more to a person. I think you know that. World history charts the course of human events. The why's, wherefores, and consequences. If you study enough of it, you'll at some point come to the conclusion, human activity generally, in it's full flower, will make you barf.

It is not racist to believe that your forefathers invented civilization (if they did), but it is racist to label all other civilizations as "freaks". You should also note that the concept of race is a human invention, meant only to subdivide a species for the benefit of a few.

1) Skin color doesn't indicate much about genealogy, especially when you are considering periods of times of approximately 6000 years.

2) The majority of American slaves were brought from West Africa rather than from Egypt.

3) Sumerian civilization appears to be slightly older than Egyptian civilization.

4) The Sumerians' genealogical and linguistic ancestry is obscure. In other words, no known ties to African sources.

Well thats not exactly correct. All people do, if you trace it back far enough, come from Africa. However the first civilization was in Mesopotamia between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. This area is in modern day Iraq. Therefore it is likely that these people appeared to look more Arabic than Black to our modern eyes.

All races came from Adam. If you read the book of Genesis, you can see the line of descent from Adam to Noah, and then you can see where Noah's 3 sons settled in the world and then trace those on down.

So, no matter what color or nationality we are, we are related to each other, brothers.

What matters is how we respond to the message of Good News about God's Kingdom.

you have a good reason to believe that your forefathers, who were black did have the earliest homo sapience civilization, but evidence from archeology and history indicates that the first civilizations were Semite (in the middle east) and Chinese.
however you can console yourself with the fact that all humans descended from African origin, which means that our sources all begin with black people.

You make no sense to me, but no one invented civilization. Every race had at least one civilization at an early point in history.
