Did the founding fathers take the democratic idea from the native americans and had similar mystic beliefs but refused to acknowledge to put women at the top of the pyramid. Is this also spiritually significant?

Also, did women manage to work their way up regardless?

Just an idea I had.

back then, women were very low on the social ladder...since the document (Declaration of Independence) came from that time period, it should reflect the social distinctions of that period.

What Native Americans practiced democracy? I guess I don't know enough about that. I do know Abigail Adams begged her husband not to forget the rights of ladies when they were framing the U.S. government. However, it seems that the men stuck to commonly held values at the time. I believe it was Wyoming that first allowed their female citizens to vote. Have a happy day.

They took their ideas from European culture which held women in a lower social position than men. Many states did not allow women to vote or hold property until the 1920's

They didn't do it by accident, but in the period they wrote the constitution the issue would have probably never come up. That just isn't they way things were.
