I feel for you bud. I have went through it too, only it was 5 1/2 years. The way that I got over it was being around people that I loved to hang out with. Seriously, you have to keep yourself occupied. Stay active, whether you are chilling with friends, playing video games that keep your brain off her, anything. I spent every day with my best friend (who wouldnt even let me speak my ex's name around her). We would go out and stay busy all day and all night. I mean obviously you are going to have down time where she is going to be on your mind, but dont let it get the best of you!

Maybe you should think about why you lost her. What were the reasons she gave you for breaking up? I recently went through a very similar situation (in fact I'm wondering if this isn't the person I broke up w/ hmmmm....LOL) It's difficult. Things get hazy. You were obviously in love with each other... but you'll just have to wait it out. I'm still messed up from my break up, and I've even moved on to a new relationship.
Wish I could help more.

do no longer infer extensive-unfold concepts. i think of you have a sampling blunders. some females are good, compassionate, and comprehend their very very own minds. Others are flaky and impulsive. In my journey, the latter wade by a great style of unsuccessful short-term relationships, which ability you're likelier to have had relationships with them. (it rather is equivalent to the way landlords lease to a better style of undesirable tenants than might seem to be warranted by the share of renters who're undesirable tenants. The trick is that undesirable tenants wade by so lots greater landlords.) If the only females you have rather gotten to comprehend have additionally been the only females you have ever dated, slept with, and had your coronary heart broken by, you're utilising a scoop it incredibly is too small and shallow. this sort of ladies folk you like to get to comprehend have friends, pursuits, perchance church homes -- they exist in a social context, because of the fact they reliably care approximately others and others reliably care approximately them. If, besides the indisputable fact that, your seek is desperate as much as come across females who're damn around loose, you have a greater physically powerful-than-accepted threat of looking ones who're short on loyalty and consistency. Do your perfect to get therapy on your rage, and contained meanwhile paintings on being a pal *and not something greater* to women folk human beings you comprehend. you are able to desire to amass a good basal layer of conventional relationships in the previous you are able to build any bigger.

time. its only time that can possibly help in that situation. if it wasnt such a long period (3 yrs) another good thing would have been going out and hooking up with someone else IMMEDEATELY. it always got my mind off the break up, but after 3 years that might not work, its just short relationships that can be forgotten that way

well even though these are common sayings, there's always the "there's plenty of fish out in the sea" or "when one door closes, another one opens"...i'm really sorry for your loss but you really can't be stuck in the past you just have to look foward to your future...

The best thing you can do is just try to forget about it, though it is very hard.
