A) Do you spend more time studying the tarot/scrying/runes/crystals/etc or out in nature?

B) How does your choice benefit you? Do you feel you should be spending more time on the other?

Myself: I spend a great deal of time outside just listening. I could be gardening, meditating on my deck, watching the birds, or even flying kites. I almost always learn something or have some lesson reinforced. Nature has a lot to teach me and it seems to be where I learn the most about the Goddess and God.

But, sometimes I think I should be working more of Tree of Life meditations/exercises and working with the Tarot. I have learned a great deal from them in the past but I have difficulty getting myself charged up to do the more “academic” stuff these days. It’s a season and I’ll swing back the other direction sometime. Mom is pretty good at teaching me about balance.

Pabs

If you are going to say both are a waste of time...

Don't bother. I've heard it before.

the point of the JPA became to furnish help. Kallan (Pagan a million/2) and Paperback author (Jewish a million/2) realized that both Pagans and Jews were seeing a large kind of incorrect information being printed and they all started the JPA. Many Pagans are gaining knowledge of about Judaism and many Jews are gaining knowledge of about Paganism; we do not word one yet another's non secular beliefs (in many cases), although the cybersupport and friendship has been superb! Edit: there have been some which have not understood the JPA idea. imagine extreme college club the position everybody receives collectively for practise and help quite than blending beliefs! Edit to Asher - Love of books? OY! that's why I were given the Kindle (e-e book). i have were given books on all 3 flooring of the homestead to boot because the storage and the basement!

I spend more time outside. Last night my husband, my daughter and I with the 4 cats went out and gazed at the moon. What a lovely bright full moon, we all felt connected to the natural world and to each other. It was very nice.

I am studying tarot and have gotten pretty good at it. I usually do what I'm led to do and each day is different. With winter coming and it will be cooler outside I'll do more indoors.

I volunteer at City Park, picking up trash. I find more peace in stewarding my little piece of Planet Earth than in any tarot cards or crystals. On the flip side, I am appalled and disheartened at the amount of garbage people leave behind when they visit a park. So, while I benefit from contact with nature, I lose faith in humanity.

I as a Christian learn from both nature and the bible by comparing them both. But why would God, warn people about witchcraft? Why would he tell people to stay away from it? Why would people say it is okay? Answer me this after read the rest of this comment.

Here is the warning the bible has for witchcraft and paganism:

Deuteronomy 18:9-11 (New King James Version)

Avoid Wicked Customs

9 “When you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. 10 There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 11 or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.

1 Samuel 15:22-24 (New King James Version)

22 So Samuel said:

“Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,
As in obeying the voice of the LORD?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
And to heed than the fat of rams.

23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,
And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
Because you have rejected the word of the LORD,
He also has rejected you from being king.”
24 Then Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice.

2 Kings 17:16-18 (New King James Version)

16 So they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, made for themselves a molded image and two calves, made a wooden image and worshiped all the host of heaven, and served Baal. 17 And they caused their sons and daughters to pass through the fire, practiced witchcraft and soothsaying, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger. 18 Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed them from His sight; there was none left but the tribe of Judah alone.

2 Kings 21:5-8 (New King James Version)

And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. 6 Also he made his son pass through the fire, practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft, and consulted spiritists and mediums. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger. 7 He even set a carved image of Asherah[a] that he had made, in the house of which the LORD had said to David and to Solomon his son, “In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever; 8 and I will not make the feet of Israel wander anymore from the land which I gave their fathers—only if they are careful to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that My servant Moses commanded them.”

2 Chronicles 33:5-7 (New King James Version)

5 And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. 6 Also he caused his sons to pass through the fire in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom; he practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft and sorcery, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger. 7 He even set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, “In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever; 8 and I will not again remove the foot of Israel from the land which I have appointed for your fathers—only if they are careful to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.”

Micah 5:11-13 (King James Version)

11And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds:

12And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers:

13Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands.

Galatians 5:19-21 (King James Version)

19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
