Opening doors? It's completely sweet and adorable.
In fact, I love it. I don't know why, I just always have.
I hate a guy who thinks it's trying too hard. It's only trying too hard if you have to RUN to reach the door before them or pushes you back before he opens the door so he can be a little gentleman.

Do it. I love it. It's so unexpected these days.

But pulling out chairs? It becomes a little akward to do smoothly.

Think he is a very nice person very well educated on how to treat women. Keep him because you can't find that kind of guy very often.
I was with some friends this man pulled out a chair and I sat down and hollered she got my chair. That is the usual man these days, hold on to him . You got a winner.

Absolutely LOVE it when a guy does those things for me! Chivalry is definitely not dead....just forgotten by most guys. My fiance' still does this for me. The one thing that got me on our first date is after he would open the door for me he would place his hand on the small of my back. Love it then and I Love it now! But I would check with the woman first on the touching thing, some don't want anyone to encroach in their personal space on the first date. Keep being a gentleman though!

I have never had a guy not open doors for me. Some guys pull out the chair. I dont like my chair pulled out but I dont hate it if they do. But they better open the door. Its just the right thing to do to show the girl you have respect for her.

I don't care for chairs so much, but doors are nice. My father opened the car door for my mother until the day she died. They were married over 60 years. Men are not like that now. I am trying to teach common courtesy to my son. One thing I told him is, whenever a woman asks you, "how do I look" ALWAYS say beautiful dear.

Keeper. They're a rare breed. Usually, you can tell before he does the gesture, by his attitude and/or demeanor whether he's already trying too hard. My guy's still pulling out chairs and opening doors for me and it's been over 10 years. See, keeper!

It's a must ... at least the door ... !

My dad opens every door for me ... since I was a little girl ... doesn't matter where or who's around ... he will open the door for any woman that's walking through .. it's polite and personally I think it shows you have good manners.

If a guy is taking me out on a date .. he better be opening that door for me .. I find it rude when he doesn't .. !

If it's someone I don't know then it's cute and courteous but if it's my BF and he does it like 24/7 then he's trying to hard
