normally I would say that giving him the cold shoulder would be the best approach. In other words, when he asks about your day is going, simply saying "fine" and not elaborating anymore would give me the idea that you don't want to talk to me; and after awhile, I would get the hint and move on. However, this guy has been following you for a year now. And even though you have made your intentions clear, he is not taking the hint. If I were you, I would talk to some teacher or councilor to whom you trust and explain the situation and explain that you want his behavior to stop. Have the teacher/councilor approach the guy and say that they (teacher/councilor) have noticed what he was doing and would like him to stop. This would avoid putting you in the middle and allow the teacher to be the scapegoat. I hope this helps. Any questions, please feel free to ask. Don't worry about hurting his feelings. Guys like that often don't get it, if you are "polite and nice" about it. Sometimes you need to drive the point thru. SO just tell him, that you are really not interest at all, and so just stop bothering you.

this happened to my 15 year old daughter last year, but he walked around snapping pics of her every move.he got charged by the school for sexual harassment.he now has a record.put an end to this now.don't even tell him you want to be his friend.don't encourage him at all. go tell you teacher or parent.it may turn into something way worse than him just following you around.

Sounds like you've already tried the "I want to be friends" and the "I don't want to hurt his feelings" part. Now you need to be firm. Don't pay any attention to him whatsoever. If he confronts you, just act very busy and on your way. Don't have a conversation with him. In time, he should stop his pursuit.

You don't. In situations like this you need to hurt feelings. Sometimes thats the only way some people get it.
