your neck out to help a friend in deep trouble, with the law and with drug addiction?

As far as you can without committing perjury. With addictions you can only help someone who wants to be helped and that help comes in the form of support. Just be there for your friend but don't get yourself dragged in to anything illegal.

Well, I had a friend like that. I helped and helped but not a lot has changed. I've bailed her out of jail, lectured her on the drugs and alcohol but none of it worked because she didn't want help. Sometimes the best thing to do to help a friend is do nothing at all. Let your friend go to jail, let them hit rock bottom...because sometimes the only way they know how to learn is the hard way. Like when I bailed her out of jail, the only thing she really learned was that someone will pay the money to get her out, she didn't think that what she did was wrong. It can be hard. By the way, what kind of trouble are they in?

kick his *** if you have to to get him off the smack. make him realize he's got the devil inside him and he's got to get the monkey off his back.
