At the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist, No. I do not beleive they are there for traffic control. Perhaps some other form of control, eventually, but certainly not traffic control.

Well,l don't see more people getting stopped for speeding or running lights, so yes, my theory is proven: the cameras are one of Big Brother's many "eyes". Have you ever wondered where the images on your COMPUTER CAMERA are being sent besides your grandma???

Cameras were obsolete a long time ago. Presently just a psychological security blanket for what's really in place.

NOPE. SOME CHECK NUMBER PLATES OF VEHICLES FOR ANY REPORTS, SUCH AS STOLEN VEHICLE OR ONES THAT ARE OF INTEREST TO POLICE AND OTHER LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES. THEY ALSO COUNT TRAFFIC AND CHECK SPEEDS.
