Jeanne d'Arc (Joan of Arc) --
As a teenager, she inspired and led a huge army contingent and helped France win an important battle. Even today, women don't lead battles, but with Joan we have a teenage girl in the Middle Ages leading and winning battles for a major country!
And furthermore, after she was captured and imprisoned by the Catholic Church, she continued to stand her ground and refused to utter one word that was not true to her or her beliefs, even though doing so would've saved her from being burned at the stake. She chose to die rather than be faithless against herself and her God.
She'd be an amazing brave person at any age and *in* any age, but that fact that she was a teenager in the middle ages and was such an honorable, courageous person is just extra amazing to me!

I think Dwight Eisenhower... I just love em... And I use to train (swimming) in Eisenhower HS.
anyways, here's it:
Dwight David "Ike" Eisenhower (October 14, 1890 – March 28, 1969) was an American soldier and politician. During World War II, he served as Supreme Commander of the Allied forces in Europe, with responsibility for planning and supervising the successful invasion of France and Germany in 1944-45. In 1949 he became the first supreme commander of NATO. As a Republican, he was elected the 34th President of the United States (1953–1961). As president he ended the Korean War, kept up the pressure on the Soviet Union during the Cold War, reoriented the defense budget toward nuclear weapons, launched the space race, enlarged the Social Security program, and built the interstate highway system.

I would have to say Jesus and his brother from another mother Mohammad.... I know, I know... that's two people... but come on.... together those two have been able to persuade over half of the world to believe that they (Jesus and Mohammad that is) are better than everyone else... all because someone nobody can/could see talked to them.... that's quite an accomplishment... if anyone were to do that today, they'd be thrown in the looney bin... those two must have been very persuasive guys... anyways whether what they believe in/what they did/what they stood for is true or not, their reputation has lived on... they're like the Siegfried and Roy of the olden days....

I think I would have to say Martin Luther King Jr. because he wanted equality for all people. That's one of the best things I think happened to this country. I am a black male and I talk, work, hang out with all types of people on a daily basis and I love it. I learn so much from other people, it's a good experience. I wouldn't have been able to do that without the vision of someone like Dr. King.

Douglas Bader:
An excellent pilot who lost both his legs in a flying accident and through sheer will power and determination not only learnt how to walk again unaided (almost unheard of at the time) but also went on to become one of the UK's top fighter aces in WWII.
After the war he dedicated much of his life to assisting people, especially children, who had suffered the loss of one or more limbs.
His determination showed that no matter what the problem, disability or difficulty if you persist and believe in yourself you can win through.
I named my son after him.

Ronald Reagan. First man I ever voted for and I loved him for his ability to make Americans feel proud to be Americans- dems and repubs- blacks and whites- smart and stupid people alike. He inspired me to follow what I want to do in life and ended the cold war with the former Soviet Union. Growing up I was always afraid of nuclear war with the Russians but Reagan changed that and I am grateful and forever in his debt. I'm sure he wouldn't have hesitated to takeout Bin Laden if he were president today!
Have a great day!!!

Martin Luther King, Jr., he saw a problem in this country and was one of the few who really actively tried to fix it, even in the face of opposition from both sides of the spectrum. He not only had to deal with racists who felt that segregation was right, but also with other black leaders who felt that his timing was off.

Oprah Winfrey because she is an independent woman who don't have to rely on no man for nothing because GOD has blessed her with plenty to share with those in need and true friends..
She also is a strong believer in finding cures that are plaguing the world everyday.
I say this world would be a better place if Oprah and Hillary Clinton were in the white house ruling this country. We would have peace and would be minding our own bussiness from the other countries.

I would love to meet that guy who famously stood infront of that Chinese tank during the uprising in The Tiananmen Square protests of 1989. He must have been very passionate about his beliefs to do that, and the footage inspired many people to stand up for what they believe in.
